The 15th Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention & Industrial Design, organized by the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (SIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), was unveiled in Beijing on November 11, 2013. LandGlass' patent for "convection glass heating furnace" won the award, marking the second time of LandGlass to get the highest honor for China's technical innovation achievements after 2012. Thus, LandGlass became Henan's first enterprise to win the award consecutively and Henan's only enterprise to win the award in 2013, working a miracle in China's glass industry.
At the award conference, SIPO Commissioner Tian Lipu spoke highly of the award, thinking it has become increasingly credible, authoritative, representative and influential amid the great development of China's economy, society and intellectual property, praising the awarded projects for their high innovation and design level, high utility and good economic benefit. Winning the award consecutively has fully demonstrated the advanced technology and appealing design of LandGlass' convection glass heating furnace, showing LandGlass is a worthy high-end brand. Thus, LandGlass become an iconic enterprise in successful transformation from “Made in China” to “Created in China” in the industry.
