Recently, upon approval by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China, the Chongqing Academy of Metrology and Quality Inspection has become central and west China's first 3C architectural safety glass laboratory. Previously, there were only two such laboratories in Beijing and Qinhuangdao.
Compulsory Certification(It is called 3C in China) is a system of product conformity assessment practiced by governments of all countries to protect consumers' personal safety and country security and tighten product quality control. Architectural safety glass (insulating glass, tempered glass, laminated glass) is 3C products. Producers must obtain certificates and 3C licenses from state-designated laboratories before production, should be subject to laboratories' supervision and random inspection during production, and will be deprived of licenses in case of any nonconformity.
