On the morning of March 4, the glass melting furnace on No. 3 production line of AVIC GLASS was ignited. This is China's first oxygen-fuel combustion online low-e energy-conserving coated glass line, marking China's float glass technologies have been up to the highest international standards. Besides, the high-tech glass applicable to energy-efficient buildings is expected to create a new situation in the provincial and domestic building materials markets. With the ignition of the company's No. 1, 2 and 3 lines, No. 4 line has been built up and is scheduled to be ignited this year. The base will generate an annual output value of 5 billion Yuan and a profit and tax of some 1.2 billion Yuan.
According to sources, the low-e energy-conserving coated glass turned out by No. 3 line, also known as low-radiation coated glass, can block infrared heat conduction when light goes through. About 70 percent of solar thermal energy in buildings enters through glass transmission. Low-e energy-conserving coated glass can keep out of infrared thermal energy in torrid summers and retain infrared thermal energy in frigid winters, thus saving energy by 20 percent to 30 percent.
